Hot Mom Walk Meet-Up: Holding Space, Sharing Joy

In September we had the very first Hot Mom Walk meet-up, and honestly, it was everything I hoped it would be.

For the last 2 months, moms and their kids came out, and we started our morning with a walk around the Hope Mills Rec Center. The air was warm at first but now with the shifting of the seasons its crisp, but the energy is still calm yet uplifting. There was something powerful about watching moms push strollers, hold hands with toddlers, or simply walk in silence while soaking in the peace. For one full hour, we moved our bodies, breathed deeply, and just existed without rushing.

After our walks, we went inside to rest and connect. That’s when the real magic happened. We shared how we were feeling, not just the surface-level “I’m fine” but the real emotions that often stay tucked away. Then, we talk about our top three moments from the past week. Some shared laughter-filled memories with their kids, others mentioned small wins like finally getting rest or cooking a meal in peace.

And then comes one of my favorite parts: we each share what we need space held for.

Whether it was emotional overwhelm, loneliness, new motherhood adjustments, or just needing someone to listen, the room became a safe haven. There was no judgment, no “fixing,” just women showing up for each other.

It reminds me that motherhood is both beautiful and heavy, and that we were never meant to carry it alone.

The Hot Mom Walks are something special. It’s not just about fitness, it’s about community, restoration, and giving moms a space to be seen.

To everyone who continues to come: thank you for trusting me with your time, your stories, and your presence. And to those who couldn’t make previous meetups, there will be many more walks, more hugs, and more opportunities to fill your cup.

Here’s to movement, motherhood, and moments that matter.
